Face Shapes

Round Shaped Face:

If you have a round face, in order to flatter your face you should try to find glasses that make your face appear thinner and longer. A more narrow or angular frame will typically be a good choices for the task. For your round face, these would be ideal choices for shapes:

  • Rectangular glasses
  • Square glasses

Oval Shaped Face:

An oval face shape is probably the easiest shape to shop for as most styles will be flattering. You want to ideally find a pair of glasses that are as wide or wider than the broadest part of your face. The following shapes are a safe bet for you if you have an Oval face shape:

  • Rectangular glasses
  • Oval glasses
  • Round glasses
  • Square glasses
  • Horn glasses

Heart Shaped Face:

If you have a heart shaped face, it is a good idea to choose glasses that are wider at the bottom in order to reduce the perceived width of the top of the face. Suggested shapes for you would be:

  • Rectangular glasses
  • Oval glasses

Square Shaped Face:

With a proportionately long and wide face, you may want to go with a narrower framed style such as these to soften your features:

  • Oval glasses
  • Round glasses
  • Horn glasses

Triangle Shaped Face:

With a wider cheek and jaw compared to your forehead, more ornately designed styles, accented with color and detail on the brow of the frame will usually be most flattering. A couple suggestions for someone with a triangular face would be:

  • Oval glasses
  • Browline glasses
  • Cateye glasses
